The text that started it, cut out in the shape of its own bubble, with the read receipt hanging underneath.

**Short answer:** Type the message, pick the bubble colour, which side the tail is on, the read receipt and a reaction, and have it cut as one die-cut shape. On Left On Read that's a sticker or magnet in 3, 4 or 6 in, or a pillow, and shorter messages print with bigger letters.

## What you can set

[Left On Read](https://madeupmerch.jackmccarthy020.workers.dev/bubble/) uses its own colours and font on purpose, close enough to read as a text and not a copy of any app.

- **Bubble colour**: blue, green or grey.
- **Tail**: on the right (you sent it) or the left (they did).
- **Screen**: light or dark, which sets the colour of the cut edge.
- **Receipt**: Read with a time, like Read 3:14 AM, or Delivered, or nothing.
- **Reaction**: a heart, LOL, a double exclamation, a question mark, or none.
- **Or no words at all**: the three-dot typing bubble, which might be the most stressful sticker there is.

## Fewer words, bigger letters

The bubble is scaled so its longest side fills the sticker, so every word you cut makes the letters bigger. Up to four words or 20 characters stay on one line as a long pill, which is the funniest shape. Longer messages wrap into a balanced block. The limit is 120 characters.

The site shows a size meter as you type. On a 10 in pillow the top grade means capitals about an inch tall, readable from across the room. If the letters would come out too small to read, it won't let it through and tells you to cut words or add line breaks.

Four words make a great sticker. A paragraph about who forgot the cooler doesn't.

## Can't remember the exact line?

Paste the chat and the site picks three lines it thinks are the ones. Every pick has to appear word for word in what you pasted, so it can't make up a quote. Phone numbers, emails, links, card numbers and addresses are scrubbed before the AI sees the chat, and full names in speaker labels become first names.

## Stickers vs magnets vs pillow

The same cut shape comes as a die-cut sticker or a fridge magnet in 3, 4 or 6 in, or a shaped pillow in 10, 16 or 22 in. The receipt and the reaction sit on the shape, never floating off it, so the whole thing is one piece. ## Questions people ask

### Can I put emoji in the text?

No, emoji drop out because the bubble font can't draw them. Use the reaction badge instead.

### Can I change the time on the read receipt?

Yes, any time written like 3:14 AM or 11:02 PM.

### How big is a 6 inch sticker?

6 in on its longest side. A short one-line message is much wider than it is tall.

### Does it look exactly like my phone?

No, on purpose. The colours, font and tail are our own, so it reads as a text without copying any app.
